Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do with AutoToast hosting, cloud and Render servers, fair use on shared plans and how we handle abuse reports.

Last updated 8 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-08

Purpose

This policy protects our customers, our network and the wider internet. It applies to everyone using AutoToast Services, including your users, clients and anyone you give access to.

Prohibited content and activity

Illegal content or activity under the law of England and Wales or where you operate, including content that infringes copyright, trade marks or other rights.

Child sexual abuse material (reported immediately to the authorities), terrorist content, content inciting violence or hatred, or non-consensual intimate images.

Malware, viruses, phishing pages, fake shops, fraud, scams, pyramid schemes or deceptive impersonation of another person or organisation.

Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email, or hosting sites advertised by spam.

Hacking, port scanning, brute-force attacks, denial-of-service attacks, botnets or attempts to access accounts, systems or data without permission — including other AutoToast customers or our infrastructure.

Cryptocurrency mining, open proxies, VPN or Tor exit nodes, IRC servers, public file-sharing or torrent trackers, or using hosting as general backup or file storage unrelated to a website.

Unlicensed gambling, sale of illegal drugs, weapons or other regulated goods without the required licences.

Collecting or processing personal data unlawfully.

Fair use on shared hosting

Shared servers are shared by many websites. Your site must stay within the CPU, memory, process, disk and bandwidth limits of your plan and must not degrade service for others. If a site consistently uses excessive resources we will contact you and may limit it, ask you to upgrade or, in urgent cases, suspend it temporarily.

"Unlimited" features (where offered) are subject to this fair-use rule.

Security responsibilities

Keep WordPress, plugins and themes updated, use strong unique passwords and two-step sign-in, and protect API keys. We may isolate or suspend a compromised site to stop it harming others, and will help you clean it.

Reporting abuse

Report abuse, copyright complaints or illegal content to info@autotoast.com with the subject "Abuse" and include the URL and details. We review reports promptly and act where appropriate.

Enforcement

Depending on severity we may warn you, remove specific content, limit resources, suspend or terminate the Service, without refund where the breach is serious. We may report illegal activity to the police or other authorities and co-operate with lawful requests.
