FAQ

WordPress hosting questions, answered

Short, honest answers about moving to AutoToast, backups, security, DNS and what's still in the pilot.

What is AutoToast?

AutoToast is managed WordPress hosting for small businesses and agencies. We run your sites on tuned Hetzner servers in Germany and Finland and handle updates, backups, security and speed.

Is AutoToast available now?

AutoToast is in a private early-access pilot. You can sign up, buy a plan and move your WordPress site today.

How do I move my WordPress site to AutoToast?

Install the AutoToast migration plugin on your current site. It copies files and the database directly to AutoToast. You preview the copy, approve it, then point your domain at us. Moves are resumable, so large sites are fine.

Will moving break my email?

No. AutoToast does not host email yet, and we only change the website (A) records. Your existing email and other DNS records stay exactly as they are.

Where are AutoToast servers?

On Hetzner Cloud in Falkenstein, Germany, Nuremberg, Germany, Helsinki, Finland.

How are backups handled?

Sites are backed up daily to separate storage, not the same server, with 30-day retention. A snapshot is also taken before any AI-assisted change.

What is the difference between shared and cloud hosting?

Shared plans place isolated sites on a tuned shared server, which is the most affordable option. Cloud plans give you a server used only by your sites, for more consistent performance.

Is my site isolated from other customers?

Yes. Every site gets its own Linux user, PHP pool, cache and resource limits, behind a firewall with malware scanning.
